Energy & Emissions
Reducing our environmental impact through efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement
Energy and emissions management
At HARPS Global, responsible energy management and emissions reduction are integral to how we operate and grow. As a global manufacturer, we actively measure, monitor, and improve our energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our operations. By combining operational efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and product life cycle analysis, we are working toward a lower‑carbon future while ensuring reliability and quality for our customers.
Smarter processes, lower intensity
Driving energy efficiency
HARPS continues to invest in process optimization and energy‑efficient technologies to reduce energy intensity across manufacturing. Improvements are embedded into both existing operations and new facility design.
Key initiatives include:
- High‑efficiency production line upgrades
- Optimized workflows and automation
- Energy‑efficient lighting and sensor systems
- Enhanced monitoring of gas and electricity usage

Expanding renewable energy use
As part of our decarbonization efforts, HARPS has begun integrating renewable energy into our operations. In 2024, we launched the first phase of solar energy installation at our Central Medicare facility.
This phased rollout reflects a long‑term commitment to:
- Lower Scope 2 emissions
- Reduce reliance on fossil fuels
- Improve energy resilience against price volatility
Further expansion phases are planned and under evaluation as part of our broader energy transition strategy.

Managing greenhouse gas emissions
HARPS Global quantifies and discloses greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol, covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and key Scope 3 categories. While overall emissions increased in line with higher production volumes, we achieved a reduction in emissions intensity, demonstrating improved efficiency over time.
Our emissions management focuses on:
– Reliable data collection and third‑party verification
– Intensity‑based performance tracking
– Targeted actions on high‑impact emission sources
BUILDING TOWARDS A LOWER CARBON FUTURE
HARPS Global has established clear, measurable energy and emissions targets to guide progress over the near, medium, and long term. These actions reinforce our commitment to responsible manufacturing, climate resilience, and stakeholder trust.
